On your first day, we do a check dive !

A standard practice at Antelope for your first day is to provide an effortless dive with no strong current and good visibility to ensure divers can adjust to the underwater temperature, visibility and weather conditions of Palau.

Diving Point Selection

Antelope guides endeavor to meet the customer's specialized requests such as different kinds of aquatic creatures. At the same time guides recommended sites are based upon tide, visibility and weather conditions.

Antelope Diving Style
Normal boat departure is 8:30AM. Divers should set up gear 30 minutes before departure time. Boat travel time from Antelope to most diving point 40-50 minutes depending on dive point distance and water condition. Dive spots nearby will take only 10 minutes from the shop.
-Arrival at diving point
As soon as the boat arrives at the diving point it is standard practice to tie the boat descent line or Marker buoys, then our guide conducts a briefing . This orientation focuses on the diving profile, including the diving spot, reef shape, entry and exit methods, depths, dive time, current direction, visibility and safety procedures.Various aquatic life will also be discussed.
-Entering the Water
You can do the back roll entry at the front or back, giant stride,or use the ladder, then make your way to the descent line.
We encourage divers to follow and conform to our guide instructions underwater at all times for safety and to ensure customer satisfaction, particularly during drift dives.
In some diving spots the use of current hooks is required ensuring lower air consumption. This allows a relaxed view of nature's spectacle to unfold before your very eyes !!!
At the completion of a successful dive, our guide inflates a surface float during the safety stop at 5M. When drifting away from the reef divers must stay close to the guide at all times even on the surface. In case of separation underwater, divers must inflate their own float before ascending in the surface.
-Surface Exit
Divers should stay close to the guide's surface float and wait for the boat captain's signal to close in on the boat Going up to the boat, divers can take off weight belt, fins, and then climb ladder with BC and tank,or you can hold the rope at the side of the boat and remove weight belt,BC and fins.
In order to adhere to our diving style using hooks, flashlights, and floats, divers must have equipment prior to the dive. The Antelope Dive Shop is ready to meet any of your dive equipment rental needs.

We practice professional diving and we expect divers to act accordingly at all times,in terms of setting up gear before and after diving.. We have room on the boat for all customer's diving gear but the use of mesh bag is a must to ensure your gear is not mixed-up with other divers.

Divers can request to have lunch on the beach during your surface interval, then travel to a new diving point and it also depends on the location on your next diving point.

Our schedule depends on your request !!!
-Coming back from diving
We normally return from the diving trip late afternoon between 3:30-4:30 (time varies depending on diving point and weather condition).
Antelope divers participate in the process of planning where to dive the next day. This is done during logbook signing with our guides. Divers can request diving spot and expected aquatic animals to be seen Our guides also offer advice on the finest locations to go based on individual skills, level of experience and weather conditions.
